World Cat – South Africa
Peter Deavall's background and qualifications

His vast experience as skipper has given him insight into the benefits and shortcomings of many South African-built boats. He has owned and skippered both mono and cat hulls, from 15.6ft to 30ft. Peter is very passionate about his responsibility towards the ocean and endorses and promotes a healthy respect for marine life.

Amongst his friends and colleagues, he is known as "Mr Conservation" and many anglers have become more aware of their responsibility to the overall sustainability of marine life due to Peter's talks and advice. His attitude towards the environment has led to most of his catch being released.

His attitude to life and fishing is mirrored in his professional life. Peter has proven his professionalism and ethical values as an entrepreneur in the advertising and promotional industry. His career has been built on a solid platform of satisfied clients. He completely understands the value of treating his customers as he wants to be treated in return. Peter is married to Carmen, and they have two sons, Christopher and Sebastian. Peter's fervent hope is that his sons will share his love of boating and conserving our very precious ocean.
