World Cat – South Africa
What Tony Geldenhuys has to say about World Cat

“After many years of riding South African waters, I was yet to find my Dream Boat, one that would give me a smooth ride on our rough seas and wouldn’t put pressure on my ageing joints! Another growing concern (especially in our country), is the exorbitant cost of fuel, going out for a days fishing just isn’t fun when you return with an aching body and a petrol card in the red! Don’t even get me started on the endless repairs to a boat after a days hammering! In my quest for the Dream Boat I stumbled upon World Cat.

The more I started delving into this boat that everyone was talking about, the more I realised that I had found a winner, especially for our waters! Speaking to World Cat owners across the globe 2 things stood out, smoothness of ride and excellent quality. An added bonus was fuel economy, with the Vectorflo® design and semi-displacement hull, World Cats save as much as 40% on fuel, WITHOUT sacrificing speed.

I soon made contact with Andrew Brown, President of World Cat, who urged me to first come to the States and test drive the boat. I wanted to check that the proof was in the pudding and made my way to the factory in the “boat builders capital of the world” a.k.a. North Carolina. I was met by a dedicated group of boat builders who really cared. Their passion and dedication to delivering the smoothest ride and best quality was refreshing. What impressed me most was that even after having sold a boat, they were still in touch and building ongoing relationships with their clients. As they say “Once you’ve owned a World Cat, you will never want another boat”.
