World Cat – South Africa
About us

Tony Geldenhuys
Besides being an entrepreneur, avid fisherman and IGFA Captain, Tony claims that his love for the ocean stems from his previous life as a "dolphin", although most would suggest a small whale is more appropriate. Having owned a number of locally built boats, most of them V Hulls, Tony soon discovered the benefits of the catamaran design, and ultimately the World Cat which he is delighted to be launching for the first time in Southern Africa. Read what Tony has to say about World Cat.

Peter Deavall
To say that Peter is passionate about the ocean and all it encompasses is the understatement of the year... he acquired his sea legs at about the same time he started to walk. His love of fishing and boating has led him to a life of fishing adventures in South Africa, the former Transkei, Mozambique and Angola. Peter understands the oceans which embrace the Southern African coast and is often called upon to give talks on his experiences. His main passion is salt water fly-fishing, but he will happily throw plugs or spoons at anything with fins! Read more about Peter's background and qualifications.

Ewan Wilma
Ewan Wilma's love for the ocean led him to become a Coastal Skipper. He boasts over 5,000 nautical miles logged around the South African coastline and has demoed and sea trialed over 70 different boats! Read more about Ewan's qualifications and accomplishments.
